I am an experienced print and broadcast journalist in many different fields. I have been privileged throughout my career to report on subjects and topics which interest me. These include sport and agriculture – especially countryside matters and equestrianism - from the preservation of the Dartmoor pony to horse racing’s elite.
Being organised and enthusiastic ensures the combination of a young family, pets and career all fit together without conflict. I have a positive outlook on life and firmly believe you should enjoy whatever it is you spend your precious time doing.
Journalist
One of my strengths is that I am a disciplined worker who has no issue working outside the conventional 9-5. I work well under pressure, can turn things around quickly with minimal fuss and can be trusted to work on my own initiative or within a team.
I am not daunted by unfamiliar territory – in fact I relish new challenges and think sometimes a fresh pair of eyes on a new subject – without pre-conceived ideas can be advantageous.
PR
Generating ideas which engage people and creates a buzz is a sphere of my work which I enjoy immensely. I think if you are trying to make other people passionate about a subject you have to feel that way yourself; I am lucky enough to work for clients who offer something which I too believe in and excites me. Seeing the results of my work in increased footfall and sales is immeasurably satisfying.
